How To Cook Gammon Steaks

Ingredients:

There are some ingredients you will need.

  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • gammon steak

You will need a 1.6 kg boneless and smoked gammon joint. Then take 300ml of pineapple juice. Take a red chili and chop it. Peale a 3cm piece of ginger. Also, take one tablespoon of garlic paste. Time to take 200ml of tomato ketchup. Also, 3 tablespoons of wine vinegar. Take one tablespoon of soy sauce three tablespoons of dark brown sugar. Also, take one tablespoon of cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

Method to cook:

Take a large pan and put gammon in it. Now cover it with water. Take it to a boil and skim foam it from the surface. Cook it almost for two hours. Leave it with a cooling liquid for thirty minutes.

It is time to make the glaze. Put all the ingredients into a pan and bring to a boil. Also, reduce to a simmer and bubble it for 10-12 mins. It is time to drain the gammon (you can reserve the liquid for stock). You can prepare and chill the gammon and glaze a day earlier.

Put the oven on 200c to 180c. Take a sharp knife and sit the gammon on board. Make a good layer of fat and cut down the skin. Make some lines on the fat. Roast it for ten minutes on a roasting tin. Bast glazes on it after every five minutes and continues roasting. It will become sticky after forty minutes.

It is time to remove it from the oven after 15 minutes and enjoy your meal.
